Go is the language of modern infrastructure — Docker, Kubernetes and most cloud-native tooling are written in it — and that is where the hiring comes from. Indian demand is concentrated in product companies, fintech and platform teams rather than services firms, which means fewer total openings but a distinctly higher pay band. Almost nobody hires a Go fresher directly; the usual route is two or three years of backend experience in another language followed by a move onto an infrastructure or high-throughput services team.
